| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted "on an annual bluegrass green...to determine the effectiveness of treatments against third instar BCW [black cutworm] larvae." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "at treatment time...the following soil and air conditions existed: air temp [temperature], 79°F [Fahrenheit]; soil temp at 1 inch depth, 80°F; soil temp at 2 inch depth, 80°F....No irrigation was applied after the application of treatments." Reports that "DeltaGard provided significant reduction of BCW. Exceessive rainfall may have negatively impacted the residual activity of treatments. No phytotoxicity was noted." |
