Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted to evaluate insecticides "for control of SMC [southern masked chafer] grubs." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "field conditions at the study site were: soil type, silty-clay loam; soil organic matter, 3-5%; soil pH, 6-7; water pH, 7.0." Reports that "all treatments provided statistically significant reductions of SMC grubs when compared to the untreated check. However, Provaunt + Induce, Provaunt + PBO-8 + SCOIL, Provaunt + PBO-8+ Silwet and Provaunt + SCOIL treatments did not provide acceptable (>80%) SMC control. No phytotoxicity was observed."
