Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted to compare indoxacarb baits and Talstar EZ to control the turfgrass ant. Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the grass was mowed at 0.4 inch prior to applications, and every other day thereafter. Due to varied concentrations of anthill within the fairway, the trial was split into three separated areas on the fairway." Reports that "all treatments provided fair control 7 DAT [days after treatment] but declined thereafter. The heavy rainfall may have reduced the attraction of the baits and the effectiveness of Talstar."
