| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to evaluate Arena in treating Asiatic garden beetle (AGB) infestation. Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the turf consisted of a mixed stand of Kentucky bluegrass, Poa pratensis L., red fescue Festuca rubrum L., and tall fescue, Festuca arundinacea Schreb...All treatments were hand irrigated with 0.25 inch of water 2.5 h [hours] after treatment." Lists treatments evaluated in the study, including Arena 50WDG, Arena 0.5G, Merit 75WP, and Merit 0.5G. Reports that "the formulation of Arena did not affect performance. However, as the rate increased, control improved. Arena provided the same control as Merit with lower rates." Concludes that "Arena is an excellent grub insecticide." |
