| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study comparing the effectiveness of Provaunt with the effectiveness of Merit in controlling European chafer (EC) Rhizotrogus majalis Razoumowsky. Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that it "was conducted on a golf course rough...The turf consisted of a mixture of Kentucky bluegrass, Poa pratensis L. and white clover, Trifolium repens L." Lists treatments evaluated in the study, including Provaunt 14.5% SC; several Povaunt combinations, including Provaunt 14.5% SC + PBO-8, Provaunt 14.5% SC + Silwet L-77, Provaunt 14.5% SC + Induce, Provaunt 14.5% SC + SCOIL, Provaunt 14.5% SC + PBO-8 8EC + Silwet L-77, Provaunt 14.5% SC + PBO-8 8EC + Induce, and Provaunt 14.5% SC + PBO-8 8EC + SCOIL; and Merit 75WP. Reports that "Provaunt alone did not provide control, but was helped significantly by the synergist PBO-8, without the addition of adjuvants. Merit provided excellent control." |
