| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study testing ten insecticides "against a water check for control of greenbug on seashore paspalum cv. 'Sea Dwarf.'" Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "treated plots were replaced within individual containers immediately after treatment and covered with material 30 minutes later." Lists treatments evaluated in the study, including Orthene TT & O Spray 75, Talstar T & O F, Sevin 4SL, Tempo 20WP, Deltagard T & O 5SC, Merit 75WP, Scimitar 0.88CS, Safer Insecticidal Soap, Azatrol 0.0987EC, and Prelude 2EC. Reports that "Orthene, Sevin, Talstar, Tempo, Scimitar, Deltagard and Prelude killed 100% of the aphids on seashore paspalum within 3 days. Safer Insecticidal Soap provided intermediate level of mortality. Azatrol did not provide improved control of greenbug over that of water in this trial." |
