Abstract/Contents: | "The carbohydrate content of shoots was decreased by both defoliation and nitrogen fertilization. In connection with these responses high nitrogen doses applied immediately after defoliation inhibited plant growth. From these results some implications in regard to intensive grassland farming and to breeding of forage grasses are derived." |
