Abstract/Contents:Discusses the use of wetting agents to improve irrigation efficiency. Describes a study conducted to evalute the efficiency of Cascade Plus wetting agent on a Crenshaw creeping bentgrass green. Reports that two weeks after application "to bring soil moisture content up to 15%, 0.5 inch...of water was applied to the plots treated with Cascade Plus. In contrast, 1 inch...of water was required by the control plots to reach the same level of moisture." States that after three months "the plots treated with Cascade Plus still required half as much water to bring soil moisture up to 15% as compared to the non-treated plots."
