Abstract/Contents:Reports 1987 visual quality evaluation results (1-9 scale) of endophyte-free and endophyte-infected varieties of both hard and tall fescues in Kentucky. In Test 1, sixteen varieties were established in September 1985 and mowed at 2.0 inches. May and June quality ratings are provided along with the 1987 average. Table includes Kentucky bluegrass infestation percentages on 7/8/87 as well. 'Mustang' and 'Atlanta' varieties (both infected and non-infected) were rated highest. The 18 varieties of tall and hard fescues in Test 2 were established in September 1986 and mowed at 2.0 inches. May, June and September quality ratings with a 1987 average are presented. Endophyte-free 'DBC (84)' tall fescue received the highest rating.
