Abstract/Contents: | Previews three studies underway in Kentucky that will measure effectiveness and speed of control of white grubs using three formulations of milky disease bacteria, effects that incorporation of the bacteria in the soil will have, and the role that the enzyme chitinase has in the infection of the white grub with milky disease bacteria. It is believed that better formulations of the milky disease bacteria applied with small amounts of chitinase and incorporated into the area of grub infestation will increase the speed and efficiency of the bacteria in the control of white grubs. Results of these studies will be published in the future. |
