| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses turfgrass color measurement, comparing the effects of slow-relase nitrogen (N)-fertilizers compared to ammonium nitrate. Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the trial were made on a turf mixture, main components Lolium perenne L., Poa pratensis L. and Festuca rubra L., with three replications on the test area at the University of Bonn [Germany]." Reports that "the change of RAL [German institute for quality assurance and qualification]-components of the grass colour [color] across the growing period is well consistent with the visual observations." Concludes that "the results show that, using digital image analysis in combination with a standard colour system (RAL), it is...possible to determine and define turf colour." |
