Abstract/Contents: | Discusses potential benefits of flowering landscape plantings around a golf course clubhouse. States that "the growing of [bulbs], other than the charm their flowers possess, has many advantages over that of any other class of growing plants. One of them, and an excellent one, is that many bulbs produce their flowers in very early Spring - a season when few other plants are in bloom and when flowers are doubly valuable for their rarity." Offers suggestions for planting hyacinths, narcissus, daffodils, tulips, crocuses, snowdrops, and scilla. |
