Abstract/Contents:Discusses golf course maintenance during World War I. States that "the railroads have found it necessary to reduce the number of trains, and shipping facilities are not so satisfactory as in times of peace...As a rule the clubs order rather heavily during August for the Fall renovation work. If it so happens that the weather is unseasonable, a little delay is likely to prove disastrous." Recommends that courses place their orders sooner in case of delays.
