| Abstract/Contents: | "Imazaquin {2- [4,5-dihydro-4-methyl-4- (1-methylethyl) -5-oxo-1H-imidazol-2-yl] -3-quinolinecarboxylic acid} at rates of 0.25 - 0.50 lb ai/A is registered as a postemergence herbicide for the control of purple nutsedge (Cyperus rotundus L.) in established bermudagrasses (Cynodon dactylon L. Pers.), zoysiagrasses (Zoysia japonica Steud.), St. Augustinegrasses (Stenotaphrum secundatum Walt. Kuntze) and centipedegrass (Eromochloa ophiuroides Munro. Hack). Weed control performance and turfgrass tolerance of singular and multiple applications will be discussed. Particular emphasis will be on Arizona and Southern California." |
