Abstract/Contents: | Profiles the grass sawfly in southwest Michigan. Mentions the emergence of the sawfly, stating that "the first larvae can be found by early May feeding on the lower leaf blades." Lists potential recognizable features of the sawfly, including eight pairs of abdominal prolegs and a single, large ocellus eye on each side of the head. Concludes that "generally, [sawflies] do not cause significant damage to crops or lawns." |
