Abstract/Contents: | Briefly discusses legislation banning the sale and use of lawn and garden pesticides in Ontario, Canada. States that "exempt from the legislation will be farms, golf courses and managed forests." Reports that "the legislation, set to take effect...spring [2009], aims to address the growing number of municipalities that are banning the cosmetic use of pesticides...It is hoped the provinicial ban would put an end to the hodgepodge regulations superintendents and other turf care professionals had to comply with depending on their location." |
