Abstract/Contents:Discusses sharpening of rotary blades. Provides steps in removing the blades from the mower. Discusses some "tips and tricks" in sharpening blades. States that "sharpening doesn't need to be complicated. It can be done with no more than three simple tools: a grinding wheel, a 254-mm [millimeter] (10-in. [inch]) mill bastard file and a sharpening stone." Advises never to "try to straighten a bent blade as this will only serve to further weaken or crack it...the potential liability or injury is not worth the cost of a replacement blade."
