Abstract/Contents:Discusses "elevated levels of lead found in a few synthetic turf fields" in 2008. Explains that "not only is the lead chromate used in synthetic turf encapsulated in plastic and glass to prevent it from being readily absorbed by the body or released into the environment, but, throughout the industry's 40+ years, there has never been an instance of human illness or environmental damage caused by its products." Reports that "careful analysis of...data has convinced...experts that the fields do not present a human health risk."
