Abstract/Contents:Compares the use of sulphate of iron and chelated iron in turf. States that "applying sulphate of iron has long been known to reduce soil pH." Explains that "iron in chelated form is 'protected' from reaction with soil water by an organic complex. As such, the drop in pH that occurs with sulphate of iron does not occur with chelated iron."
