Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted "that evaluated the physical characteristics of more than 20 commercially available bunker sands to determine if any single physical test...used by accredited soil testing laboratories is a good predictor of bunker sand firmness in the field." Reports that "under field conditions [limestone materials] seem to perform satisfactorily." States that "proper sand selection is crucial to achieve [well-maintained] bunkers on a consistent basis." |
