Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the likelihood of heavy rain to "[move] insecticides too deep into the soil to be effective against turf insects." Suggests that the "time elapsed between the application and the onset of rain" and "how much organic matter is in the soil" may influence the severity of rain's effect on applications of MeritTM (imidacloprid). States that more "solubility...enables the product to be taken up into the plant more quickly," though "more soluble [insecticides] might be a little more likely to run-off following very heavy rain." |
