Abstract/Contents: | "During 1985, imazapyr was evaluated in several bermuda release situations along southern highway rights-of-way. Imazapyr at .063 lb. ae/a provided control and/or suppression of johnsongrass, ryegrass, tall fescue, Virginia buttonweed, plantain in a Tennessee study. In an Alabama study .25 lb. ae/a imazapyr applied to dormant bermudagrass provided control and/or suppression of crabgrass, johnsongrass, trumpet creeper, and dewberries 60 days after treatment. Demonatration work conducted in Mississippi with both .063 and .125 lb. ae/a rates of imazapyr resulted in control of foxtail, panicum, johnsongrass and tall fescue. Work will continue in 1986 to define rates and timing of applications of imazapyr to common bermudagrass for selective weed control and release of bermudagrass." |
