| Abstract/Contents: | "The experiment was conducted on a bentgrass plot at the NCSU Turf Research Center in Raleigh, NC. The soil was an artificial soil mix consisting of 80% sand, 10% sandy loam, and 10% peat. The bentgrass plot was maintained equivelant to bentgrass greens. All treatments were applied with a CO2 backpack sprayer on 13 Jun and 10 Jul. Plots were 5 ft x 5 ft; treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block with four replications. The summer was hot and rainfall was below normal. Plots were irrigated as needed. Treatments were rated for percent area diseased 12 and 27 days after first treatments and 12 days after second treatment. Disease was light but increased with time. Satisfactory dollar spot control was achieved with all fungicides except Fore, Subdue, and Aliette. No phytotoxicity was observed." |
