Abstract/Contents:"Fungicides were evaluated at the Entomology Turfgrass Research Plot on Kentcky bluegrass maintained under home lawn conditions, using no nitrogen fertilization in the current year. Individual plots, 3 ft x 24 ft, were arranged in a randomized complete block design with 3 replications. Ffungicides were applied with a CO2 powered boom sprayer with 8004 Tee Jet evaluated on 30 Jun, 25 Jul, and 22 Aug. Data obtained were subjeted to analysis of variance and Waller-Duncan K-ratio t test. Data from 30 Jun are presented. Since Bayleton did not provide disease control, we presume that the disease present in the test area was necrotic ring spot rather than summer patch, which is reported to be controlled by this chemical. At the 25 Jul evaluation, plots treated with Bayleton showed significantly increased disease, compared with the untreated plots. This increase, hoever, was not statistically significant on the other evaluation dates. Tersan 1991 provided the best overall control throughout the trial."
