| Abstract/Contents: | States that "many parks and recreation departments use some type of manual hand sprayers for weed control, pest control, degreasing or other maintenance activities." Gives suggetions to "make sure [one] is getting maximum results." Suggests to "select a quality product that can stand up to long hours, harsh chemicals and rough treatment." Notes that one should "train technicians in correct operating procedures," advising a "quick check before leaving the starting point." Also notes to "make sure technichians aren't over-pressurizing sprayers...[one] will get longer life and fewer problems from [the] manual spray equipment if the technicians relieve the pressure unit." Provides suggestions for cleaning the tips of the sprayer. Mentions that one should not "expose the sprayer to freezing temperatures." Also mentions to check and clean the filter to "prevent clogged tips and debris that can damage sprayers." Suggests that one performs the "required preventative maintenance" in order to save money on buying a new sprayer. Also suggests having an emergency repair kit, and make sure that the sprayers are being stored correctly. |
