| Abstract/Contents: | "Fungicides were evaluated at the Valentine Turfgrass Research Center on Kentucky bluegrass maintained under home lawn/golf course fairway conditions. Fertilizer (NH4NO3) was applied on 7 Apr at the rate of 1.0 lb actual N/1000 sq ft. Individual plots, 16 ft x 3 ft, were arranged in a randomized complete block design with 3 replications. Fungicides were applied with a CO2 powered boom sprayer with 8004 Tee Jet nozzles, at 30 psi, in water equivalent to 2 gal/1000 sq ft. Fungicide applications were initiated on 18 Apr, and retreatments were made on 30 Apr, and 15 and 29 May, except as noted in the table. Treatments were visually evaluated on 28 May and 11 Jun. Data obtained were subjected to analysis of variance and Waller-Duncun K-ratio t test. Data from 11 Jun are presented. Disease pressure was extremely low because of unseasonably warm, dry weather in Apr and May. During the trial, disease severity in the untreated areas did not exceed 11%. Throughout the experiment, plots treated with Chipco 26019 applied at 21-day intervals, in 50W and 2F formulations, and Daconil 4.17F at 6 fl oz were completely disease-free." |
