Abstract/Contents: | "Fungicides were evaluated at the Oklahoma Turfgrass Research center, Stillwater, Oklahoma, on a full-sun area conditions at a cutting height of 0.1875 inch. Individual treatment plots were 18 in x 10 ft with a 1 ft x 10 ft paired, untreated check. Treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design with 4 replicates. Fungicidal treatments were applied on 4 Sep using a CO2 powered boom sprayer operating at 40 psi and a 3 gal/1000 sq ft carrier rate. Granular products were applied with a shaker jar onto moist grass and were not watered in. The experimental area was inoculated on 9 Sep using S. homoeocarpa -infected rye grains. Approximately 40% of the infection centers present during rating resulted from the inoculum; the remainder were from natural infection. Thirteen of the 28 treatments showed significant disease control at 9 days after treatment(DAT). All but one of those 13 treatments still showed significant control at 14 DAT. SDS-63539, a combination product containing Daconil and sulfur, showed no better control than Daconil alone." |
