Abstract/Contents:"Fungicides were evaluated on plots of mature Kentucky bluegrass located on Spindletop Research Ffarm near Lexington. The turf minimal care was maintained at 2.5 inch mowing height. Fungicide treatments were applied to 6 ft x 10 ft plots in a randomized complete block design with 4 replications. A hand-pumped Solo back pack sprayer with 6 ft boom having four nozzles delivering 2 gal/1000 sq ft at 25 psi was used to apply the treatments. Those treatments designated as single application treatments (SAT) were applied on 17 Apr only. All other treatments were applied on 17 Apr, 1 may, 15 May, and 29 Mmay except FMC 4921 50W which was applied on 1 May and 15 May. The plots were rated on 31 May by estimating the percentage of turfgrass foliage showing symptoms of leafspot. Very little leafspot was present at the time of the first application but disease pressure became moderate by 31 May. Several treatments gave excellent control of leafspot including CGA 449, Dyrene, Chipco 26019 and Daconil 2787."
