Abstract/Contents: | Explains that "mudbathing is a form of pre- to mid-season soiling that was very prominent during the 1970's...It should not be used as a levelling process, but as a way of filling in any pitting or minor imperfections prior to opening, or throughout the playing season." States that a mudbath "consists of applying soil plus water to a green to make a thin slurry." Presents a potential procedure for mudbathing, stating that "for a full-sized green approximately two cubic metres [meters] of sieved soil is required." |
