Abstract/Contents: | Turf renovation involves dethatching, weed control, aeration, fertilization, and replanting. Identifying conditions that lead to turf deterioration is important. Poor drainage, shade, soil compaction, thatch, weeds, low fertility, insects or diseases, excessive use or a poor maintenance program are factors to consider. Renovation problems and methods for lawns, athletic fields, and golf courses are discussed. |
