| Abstract/Contents: | "Six species of Criconemoides were found in Ohio golf course turf: C. rusticum, C. xenoplax, C. ornatum, C. parvum, C. curvatum, and one undescribed species with similarities to C. curvatum and C. ornatum. Criconemoides rusticum and C. xenoplax, occurring in 73% and 22% of the samples, respectively, were the most freequently encountered species. The othe rspecies each occurred in less than 3% of the total samples. Different species were found in fairways and greens. Geographical location of golf courses and turfgrass types are not factors in determining the species found. Cutting height of grass, moisture and soil may be important factors." |
