Abstract/Contents:"Field tests were used to evaluate commercial and experimental fungicides for controlling Rhizoctonia blight of 'Raleigh' St. Augustinegrass. Fungicides were evaluated for their long-term effectiveness in controlling the disease under conditions of heavy disease pressure. Rresults of field investigations with 24 fungicide treatment programs one month after application indictate some experimental fungicides gave protection during the 30-day period and encouraged regrowth of infected areas. Most of the fungicides were not effective under the conditions of the study. Two experimental fungicides, SN-84364 (2 oz. AI) and NC-28410 (4 oz AI) along with Chipco 26019 at 2 oz. AI had greater efficacy than other fungicides used in the study."
