| Abstract/Contents: | "The relative susceptibility of several Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis) cultivars and blends and perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne) cultivars to Sclerotinia dollar spot (Sclerotinia homoeocarpa) was observed. Nugget and Sydsport Kentucky bluegrass were extremely susceptible. South Dakota Certified, Vantage, Geary, Adelphi, and Park were among the most resistant. Mowing height influenced disease incidence on seven of 37 Kentucky bluegrass cultivars. Inclusion of Windsor or a high percentage of Kenblue into the Kentucky bluegrass blends was associated with low incidence of dollar spot. Among the ryegrasses, only Pennfine showed a high degree of resistance to Sclerotinia dollar spot." |
