Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to "ascertain the longevity of various iron sources." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "plush Kentucky bluegrass established in September 1984...on a Lodi silt loam with a soil pH of 6.5 was used for this experiment." Reports that "single October iron applications averaged higher color ratings than single August or September applications in the fall and spring...December Red Thread disease infestation was generally reduced with all iron applications, however, only with multiple or the single October application regimes did iron sources significant [signficantly] reduce Red Thread." |
