| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to "determine the effect of rate and frequency of Aqua-Gro and Rubigan applications on suppression of Poa annua infloresence." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "Aqua-Gro was applied to Poa annua turf in 80 gallons of water per acre at the following rates and dates: 16 oz [ounces]/1000 sq. ft. [square feet] on 18 March 1986"; "8 oz/1000 sq. ft on 18 and 25 March 1986"; "6 oz/1000 sq. ft on 18 and 25 March, and 1 April 1986"; "6 oz/1000 sq. ft. on 18 and 25 March 1986, plus 2 oz/1000 sq. ft. were applied on 8, 15, and 29 April 1986." Reports that "Poa annua seedhead formation was reduced during April with all Aqua-Gro treatments...The longest seedhead suppression was obtained with the single 16 oz and the 8 + 8 oz. Aqua-Gro treatments." |
