| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to evaluate insecticides "for control of chinch bugs on buffalograss research plots at the University of Nebraska JSA [John Seaton Anderson] Research Facility near Mead Nebraska." States that "treatments were evaluated...by taking two 8-inch diameter vacuum samples (0.7 ft2 [square feet] total area per plot) with a modified Echo 2400 Shred 'N Vac." Reports that "all treatments except SPG02-009 and SPG02-010 provided statistically significant reductions in chinch bug numbers. However, only Talstar EZ provided acceptable...chinch bug control over all evaluation days." |
