Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted "1) to evaluate the effectivness of two...herbicides alone and in combination, compared to Trimec and Turflon II" and "2) to determine the tolerance of turfgrass to the selected herbicide treatments." Reports that "compared to Trimec, few treatments provided equal control of all weeds rated except the two combinations of imazaquin, clopyralid and triclopyr." Also discusses a study conducted "1) to evaluate the effectiveness of a herbicide applied in combination with a surfactant for broadleaf weed control"; "2) to evaluate the effectiveness of several...compounds on broadleaf weed control"; and "3) to determine the tolerance of turfgrass to the selected herbicide treatments." Reports that "all treatments except triclopyr and DPX L5300 combinations with surfactant caused some degree of phytotoxicity to the turf, resulting in turf injury and poor quality ratings."
