Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to "evaluate herbicides for the control of hawkweed and buckhorn plantain." Reports that "due to untimely rainfall, a good comparison of the time needed before a rainfall, to achieve adequate control, can be made. Fluroxypyr alone, at both rates afforded excellent control of hawkweed when applied either 1 hr [hour] or 6 hrs before rainfall, but gave little control of plantain in either study. Clopyralid, at both rates, achieved excellent control of hawkweed, and at .375 lbs [pounds] ai [active ingredient]/A [acre], excellent control of buckhorn plantain." |
