| Abstract/Contents: | "Hyphae of Sclerophthora macrospora were found consistently in field-collected and greenhouse-grown plants of bluegrass and bentgrass suffering from yellow tuft. Oospores were found in diseased bluegrass collected in the fall. Sporangia formed abundantly on leaves of infected plants held in a moist chamber. This appears to be the first report of the association of the fungus with yellow tuft disease." |
