Explains that "MiniVerde is a vegetative selection from what is believed to be a mutant of Tifdwarf first produced in 1992. It was developed by H&H Seed of Yuma, [Arizona] and has been licensed to Modern Turf...since 2001 to market and grow for courses in the Carolinas and occasionally Georgia." Reports that "MiniVerde exhibits an extremely fine texture, a rapid lateral growth rate, improved stand density, deeper roots, minimal thatch, a uniform dark green color, more disease resistance, early spring green-up, less grain and the presence of thick abundant rhizomes." |
