Abstract/Contents:Discusses soil tests, suggesting that "the best time for soil tests is upon determining a new client's lawn care or lawn maintenance plan or before an installation." Explains that "generally, the contractor takes soil samples from a number of spots on a property, prepares the soil according to the lab's instructions and mails it in for testing...There are also self-testing kits on the market, but [they are recommended] for people knowledgeable about interpreting results and those who use quality control samples." Concludes that "the soil is the foundation of the whole project...[one needs] to know what it's lacking."
