Abstract/Contents:Discusses possible hydroseeding options. Suggests "hydroseeding can provide landscape superintendents with generous profit margins. This is why some maintenance superintendents are buying their own equipment and taking care of it themselves, as opposed to sub-contracting the job." List possbile variables to be taken into account when hydroseeding including, "weather, climate, variety and extent of slopes, location, etc." Offers different choices for types of mulch including "100 percent paper mulch - a blend of paper and wood or 100 percent wood mulch or specialized erosion control products such as bond fiber matrixes and FGM's...There are also cotton based mulches and corn based mulches." Introduces the options of buying, renting or leasing a machine and briefly describes the benefits of each stating that "all are good options. Buying a unit is the best choice. Leasing can be a convenient way to finance and has a lot of good advantages...Renting is a good choice if a job comes up that does not fit the machine [one has] or if [one has] little call for hydroseeding." Explains that "hydroseeding is a growing field, with the tightening in regulations associated with erosion control, hydroseeding is the fast and easy way to cover bare ground."
