Abstract
(Thanks to DTRF) | "All about grass" will take no heed of books, but what of that? There are men, and many of them, who have their livelihood to make from the management of grass, and who are eager for knowledge of a subject to which there is no finality. This book is written for such. Of necessity there is much in these pages that is common knowledge to the experienced; will they please be tolerant for the sake of the novice and the inexperienced; but I venture to hope there may be something of interest and value in my work for all who handle grass. |

It contains numerous botanical drawings of turfgrasses and weeds by G.E. Lee. In 1924, Albert Macself advised on the use of horse boots as follows:
Horse-boots are an essential wherever animals are used on grass, and it is imperative that these shall fit well and be kept in good repair. A badly-fitting or loosely fastened boot may easily cause as much damage as an unshod hoof." p. 275-276 |
