| Abstract/Contents: | Announces a project by the Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association (GCSA), in which "a...website will be available will which allow members online to access to determining their Sustainability Score for Water Conservation and Water Quality Management BMPs [best management practices] and allow them to develop their own Water Conservation Plan." States that "one component of the project is the establishment of a Turf Environmental Resource Center (TERC) as a free resource for anyone who seeks to better understand the relationship between turf and the environment." Explains that "the very simple aim of this part of the project is to provide easy access to a wide range of technical information for practitioners - golf course superintendents, lawn care operators, landscape contractors, sod producers, sports turf managers, parks and recreation personnel - anyone who has a professional responsibility to understand the potential impacts of turf on the environment." |
