| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to determine the effectiveness of Allectus and TopChoice fertilizer formulations in controlling mole crickets in bermudagrass. Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "soils are a sandy loam. Plots, 12 ft [feet] x 12 ft, were arranged in a RCB [randomized complete block] design with all plots bordered by a 1 ft untreated strip." Lists treatments evaluated in the study, including TopChoice 0.0143G, TopChoice on fertilizer 0.0072G, TopChoice Select 0.0103G, TADS 14878 0.0103G, ChipcoChoice 0.1G, and Allectus 0.36G. Reports that "only plots treated with Allectus either as a single application or as a split application had significantly less burrowing than untreated control plots. There were not signs of phytotoxicity resulting from any treatment." |
