| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to determine the efficacy of several insecticides "for control of billbugs (BB) and zouthern [southern] masked chafer (SMC) grubs on a Kentucky bluegrass research area...The turf (100% Kentucky bluegrass) was maintained at a ht [height] of 2.5 inch. Thatch accumulation (finger compressed) in the plot area was 0.2 inch." Lists treatments evaluated in the study, including Meridian at various rates. Reports that "both treatments of Meridian 25WG provided statistically significant reductions in billbugs when compared to the untreated check...No phytotoxicity was observed." |
