| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to evaluate several insecticides "for control of southern masked chafer (SMC) grubs on a Kentucky bluegrass rough...The turf (100% Kentucky bluegrass) was maintained at a ht [height] of 2.5 inches. Thatch accumulation (finger compressed) in the plot area was 0.5 inch." Lists treatments evaluated in the study, including Merit 75WP and Acelepryn SC. Reports that "all treatmetns provided statistically significant reductions in the amount of southern masked chafer grubs when compared to the untreated check...No phytotoxicity was observed." |
