| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of granular products "for control of chiggers (CH) on a bromegrass stand between pine tree rows." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the turf (100% bromegrass) was maintained at a ht [height] of 4.0 inches. Thatch accumulation (finger compressed) in the plot area was 0.1 inch." Lists treatments evaluated in the study, including A14556, A15008, A11859, Spectracide, Triazicide Once, and D One Insect Killer. Reports that "all treatments, except for Triazicide provide statistically significant reduction in chiggers...when compared to the untreated check...No phytotoxicity was observed." |
