| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to evaluate insecticides "for control of chinch bugs (CB) on a buffalograss research area." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that the turfgrass area "was maintained at a ht [height] of 3.0 inches. Thatch accumulation in the plot area was 0.25 inch." Lists treatments evaluated in the study, including Aloft SC, ARY-0486-02, and Aloft G. Reports that "at 3 DAT [days after treatment], all treatments provided statistically significant reductions in chinch bugs when compared to the untreated check...At 96 DAT, all treatments provided statistically significant reductions in chinch bugs when compared to the untreated check and provided excellent (>90%) chinch bug control. No phytotoxicity was observed." |
