| Abstract/Contents: | "A leafspot and blast disease of ryegrass, Lolium multiflorum cv. Gulf, caused by a Piricularia sp. is reported for the first time. An epiphytotic of the disease occurred in Louisiana in October and November 1971, affecting several thousand acres. The severity of this disease was believed to be the result of unseasonally warm weather and high rates of nitrogen fertilization." |
